About Makkah Finder

Makkah Finder is a free website that shows daily prayer times, the Qibla direction and monthly timetables for any place in the world.

What you can do here

• Prayer times for today, worked out for your exact location.
• A Qibla compass that points towards the Kaaba in Makkah, using your phone's compass.
• A monthly timetable you can check ahead or print.
• Prayer times for major cities around the world.
• Short guides on the five daily prayers, wudu, finding the Qibla, fasting times and praying while travelling.

The site is available in English, Arabic, Urdu, Bengali, Hindi, Turkish, Persian, Malay, Indonesian, French, German, Spanish, Russian and Swahili.

How the times are calculated

Prayer times come from the position of the sun at your location. The site uses the calculation method most common in your country, such as the Muslim World League or ISNA, and you can change it in Settings. You can read more in Why prayer times change every day.

The calculations run on your own device, so the site works quickly and your location is not stored on our servers.

Please follow your local mosque

Calculated times are a reliable guide, but mosques sometimes add a few minutes for safety or follow a local timetable. If your mosque publishes times, follow them so you pray together with your community.

How the site is funded

Makkah Finder is free to use. It may show advertising to cover hosting and development costs. See the privacy policy for details.
